The hotel is included in the World Medicine Encyclopedia as the first sanatorium for tuberculosis-sick people. The building is kidney-shaped in order to catch the sunlight mostly. The unique park that surrounds the hotel from all sides contains almost all tree species available in Bulgaria, including some very rare species like sequoia, cedar, etc.
